Set the diamond blade on the concrete wet saw to a depth of 4 1 2 inches and cut along both chalk lines. Make a second cut inch away and parallel to the first. Next cut out the exposed strip of plywood or osb that covers the slab but don t go all the way through. Use a chisel and hammer to remove the three scrap pieces.

Instead finish the cut with a utility knife. In this video we are cutting concrete with a circular saw aka skil saw. If you have installed any electrical conduit which does not require a pressure test tape the opening to the conduit closed with duct tape to prevent concrete from falling in. The concrete will ruin your saw blade.

Step 7 backfill around the pipes. Ridged nonmetallic pvc conduit is the right material for this job because it is watertight inexpensive and easy to work with.
